SALEM, WV - Freshman Tyler Ault (Bloomery, West Virginia / Hampshire) from the Salem International University baseball team has been named the Male Student-Athlete of the Week for April 10-16, 2017.

Ault went 11-for-22 at the plate through six games for SIU and recorded four runs batted in. He had a pair of three-hit games at home against Malone University on Tuesday afternoon (Apr. 11).

He recorded a pair of doubles in a four-game series against Ohio Valley University over the weekend, scoring four runs and stealing one base. Ault had a .520 on base percentage and .591 slugging percentage on the week for the Tigers.

The Tigers hit the road for the next eight days as they head to West Virginia Wesleyan College on Tuesday afternoon (Apr. 18) for a pair of games at 3 & 6 p.m. SIU then heads south as the Tigers play a three-game series against Chowan University on Saturday (Apr. 22) and Sunday (Apr. 23). The Tigers will then head to Fairmont State on Tuesday (Apr. 25) for one game before hosting Glenville State in a doubleheader on Wednesday (Apr. 26) at 3 & 5 p.m.
