SALEM, WV - Sophomore Jimmy Cramer (Glendale, California / Burroughs) from the Salem International University baseball team has been named the Male Student-Athlete of the Week for March 19-26, 2017.
Cramer batted .533 (8-for-15) with five runs batted in for the Tigers in four games this past week. He also scored four runs, hit two solo home runs, and one double for SIU. His on base percentage was .588 while his slugging percentage was 1.000.
He hit a pair of home runs in game one of a doubleheader against Ohio Valley University, finishing 2-for-3 at the plate. Cramer has a seven-game hitting streak for the Tigers, going 13-for-24 at the plate with two home runs and five RBIs.
Cramer is hitting .328 for the Tigers (19-for-58) with eight RBIs, 10 runs scored, and is 5-for-7 in stolen bases.
The Tigers are set to host West Virginia Wesleyan College in a doubleheader at Frank Loria Memorial Field on Wednesday afternoon (Mar. 29) at 3 p.m.
