SALEM, WV - Junior Hanna Crew (Canton, Ohio / Perry High School) from the Salem International University softball team has been named the Female Student-Athlete of the Week for March 4-12, 2017.

Crew batted .500 in four games for SIU at the Salem, Virginia Invitational Tournament this past weekend, going 6-for-12 with six runs batted in. She went 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI against Shippensburg on Friday afternoon (Mar. 10).

She followed up her performance against Shippensburg by going 3-for-5 later that night against Ursuline, recording three RBIs amd the game-winning hit in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Tigers a 6-5 victory.

Crew hit her first home run of the season on Saturday afternoon (Mar. 11) against Mercyhurst. She finished the game 1-for-2 at the plate with two RBIs.

In her last 11 games, she is batting .375 (12-for-32) with three doubles, one home run, seven RBIs, and a .563 slugging percentage.
