SALEM, WV - Freshman Olivia Fickes (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) from the Salem International University women's swimming team has been named the Female Student-Athlete of the Week for January 9-16, 2017.

Fickes recorded a time of 2:51.48 in the 200 meter freestyle at the Frostburg State Meet, bringing home a fifth-place finish against a competitive field of swimmers.

She was also a part of the Tigers' 200 meter medley relay that brought home a fifth-place finish with a time of 2:41.93.
