Kirsten Carrigan begins her first year as a graduate assistant for the Salem University track and field and cross country programs. Carrigan will primarily assist on the operations end of the program, as well as assisting with Tiger track and field athletes in the jumps events. She will also serve as an assistant for the Salem athletics department.

Carrigan is a graduate of St. Norbert College (Wis.), where she was a six-time podium finisher in the pole vault in the Midwest Conference Track and Field Championships, as well as a two-time private college champion in the pole vault. An Academic All-Conference selection, Carrigan was part of St. Norbert’s seven Midwest Conference team championships.

While at St. Norbert, Carrigan served as a multimedia coordinator and a strength and conditioning intern. She also performed a marketing and fan engagement internship at University of Arizona. In addition, she worked in Game Day Guest Services at Lambeau Field, home of the NFL Green Bay Packers.

Carrigan earned her undergraduate degree in business administration with a minor in sociology. She is working towards her MBA in sports and recreation management at Salem.

Carrigan says her ultimate goal is to move to Arizona and work for the Phoenix Suns of the NBA.
