Christina Luchuck came to Salem from just up the road at Liberty High School where she was an accomplished All-State basketball player. She continued that athletic prowess as she competed in tennis, basketball, and softball in all 4 years of her Salem career. In basketball, she led her team in scoring during her freshman season, and she would later earn All-WVIAC honors in both softball and basketball. She would also co-captain the Tigers basketball teams, and would be the first female athlete at Salem to earn the Archie Talley Award.
After her athletic career at Salem, Luchuck used her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Salem to become a social worker, a role which she excelled in for 20+ years. Today, she is using that social work experience to be a legal aid for individuals and families that are dealing with emotional and behavior disorders in children.
