Daryl Pearson graduated from Salem in 1983. He led his team to capturing the 1982 and 1983 WVIAC Basketball Championship. For his strong play he was named 1st Team All-WVIAC in both 1982 and 1983. Daryl finished his career with 1,580 points, which was one of the best careers when he graduated.
