Born July 1, 1928, D’Annunzio served Salem College as a longtime supporter of the athletics program.

D’Annunzio assisted in the renovation of the T. Edward Davis Gymnasium which game the Salem College basketball program the opportunity to play its home games on campus. He also played a major role in the development of Catalano Stadium, the college’s former football facility and soccer field.

A native of Clarksburg, West Virginia, D’Annunzio was the CEO of Beverage Distributers, Inc. and a member of the Board of Directors for Lowndes Bank in Clarksburg.

He served in the following business capacities: President of the West Virginia Beer Wholesalers Association, as a member of the board of directors of the National Beer Wholesalers Association, and as a member on the first advisory board for Stroh's Inc.

He was very active in community affairs which included memberships in the Elk Club, The Knights of Columbus, and Bridgeport and Clarksburg Country Clubs.

He was married to the former Lucille Bonasso, who served as a member of the Board of Trustees for Salem College.
