Philippi, W.Va. - Alderson Broaddus used a second half surge to top Salem International University, 5-1, in G-MAC play Thursday night in Philippi, W.Va.
Salem now sits at 8-5 (4-3-1 G-MAC) while the Battlers are 6-8-1 (4-4 G-MAC).
Michael Brunton struck first for Salem, scoring in the 5th minute off of a Alejandro De La Macorra assist. However, AB's defense would hold the Tigers out of the net for the remainder of the match and limit the SIU offensive attack to just two more shots-on-goal.
Salem will look to finish out regular season G-MAC play when they travel to Elkins, W.Va. to take on Davis & Elkins. Salem defeated D&E 3-0 when the teams met last on September 20th.
