SALEM, W.Va - Salem International University nearly erased a 16-point second half defecit, but the Panthers of Kentucky Wesleyan hung on for the 78-65 win at the T. Edward Davis Gymnasium.
The Tigers slip to 0-6 on the season and are now 0-2 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. KWC improves to 6-3 and 2-0 in the G-MAC.
Tyler Bell had a season-high 25 points on 8-of-14 shooting to lead all scorers in the contest. Gerarg Tarin was 5-of-12 from the field and 2-of-4 from the line for 12 points while grabbing 14 rebounds for his second double-double of the season.
Alex Webb was 4-of-10 from the field including 3-of-7 from distance for 11 points.
Ken-Jah Bosley led KWC with 23 points and was 10-for-12 from the charity stripe. C.J. Blackwell had 19 points and Devin Langford at 17 to round out the double-digit scorers.
Salem will travel to Bronxville, NY to take on Concordia on December 9th. Tip-off for the non-conference game is set for 7:00 PM.
