SALEM, W.Va. - Salem International University was stride for stride with Davis & Elkins in the second half, but the first half defecit proved too much to overcome for the women's basketball team in a 75-60 loss to the Senators at the T. Edward Davis Gymnasium.

The Tigers continue their rebuilding season with a record of 0-15 (0-3 G-MAC) while Davis & Elkins improves to 6-4 (2-0 G-MAC).

Shakinah Haggins led the effort for Salem with 15 points on 6-of-13 shooting. Jessica Lagard and Samantha Aikens chipped in 13 apiece for the Tigers.

Davis & Elkins was led by Sharmaine Baker's game-high 28 points while Ashley Bowels had a double-double 12 points and 10 rebounds. Caitlyn O'Neal came away with 12 points of her own while Stephanie Wooten dished out 10 assists and grabbed eight (8) boards.

Salem returns to action on Monday to take on Alderson Broaddus at the T. Edward Davis Gymnasium. Game-time is set for 5:30 PM and will be available to watch LIVE via the SIU Stretch Internet Portal HERE.
