SAVANNAH, GA. - The Salem International University baseball team dropped a pair of games to Armstrong State to open up the 2015 season, 15-2 and 10-0, Saturday.
Charles Atherton (0-1) took the game one loss for SIU (0-2, 0-0 G-MAC). Atherton lasted 5.0 innings, giving up eight runs (seven earned) on nine hits in game one before being relieved by
Aaron McCarty. McCarty gave up seven runs (two earned) on five hits.
Dolan Kunkel (0-1) picked up the game two defeat. Kunkel gave up just three runs (two earned) on nine hits in 5.0 innings of work.
Cam Hall entered and finished out the final two innings, giving up seven runs (all earned) on nine hits.
