SALEM, W.Va. (Oct. 15) – The Tigers were defeated 9-0 by Alderson Broaddus in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play Thursday afternoon at Catalano Stadium
The loss drops the Salem International women's soccer team to 0-10 overall, 0-10 in league play. Meanwhile, the Battlers improve to 5-5 in the G-MAC, 6-8 overall.
Alderson Broaddus started fast and did not look back. The Battlers scored in the opening minute of the match and added six more to its tally to take a 7-0 lead into halftime. Alderson Broaddus tacked on two more insurance markers in the second half to secure the victory.
The Battlers outshot the Tigers 36-1 in the game, with a 23-1 advantage in shots on goal.

Bre'Ana Felix (Heath, Ohio/Heath) made 14 saves for Salem International in the loss, while freshman
Megan Todaro (Tampa, Fla./Bishop England) notched the team's lone shot on net.
Salem International will play its home finale Saturday, Oct. 17 when they host Davis & Elkins on Senior Day at Catalano Stadium. Three senior women's soccer players will be honored before the 1 p.m. kickoff for their contributions to the program.
