SALEM, W.Va. (Nov.14) – The Tigers concluded the 2015 season with a 3-0 loss (25-19, 25-21, 25-18) to Alderson Broaddus in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play Saturday afternoon.
The loss concludes the Salem International University volleyball team's season at 7-22 overall, 1-9 in the G-MAC. Meanwhile, the Battlers improve to 8-2 in the conference, 14-17 overall.
The Tigers were led offensively by sophomore
Rachel Hess (Stuttgart, Germany/Patch) with 11 kills, while both sophomore
Felice Reed (Pilot Point, Texas/Pilot Point) and senior
Brittney Nesbitt (Kansas City, Mo./Raytown South tallying double-digit assists with 13 and 11, respectively.
The Salem International defense was headed by junior
Emerald Rosenbusch (Hutto, Texas/Hutto) who had a team-high 13 digs in the loss.
Nesbitt ends her two-year Salem International career with 244 kills and 693 assists. Only Hess has more kills over the last two seasons, while her assist total is the highest over that span.
