The losses send the Salem International University baseball team to 4-30 this season, while the Vulcans improve their record to 17-17 overall.

Cal U added another run in the seventh to its lead and stranded two Tigers in the bottom half to complete the 13-7 win.
Freshman
Kevin Ortiz-Arroyo (Orlando, Fla./Cypress Creek) took the loss in game one. Ortiz (0-9) allowed 12 runs on 14 hits with two strikeouts in 5.0 innings of work.
Alderman and Badve led Salem International at the plate with two hits and two RBI apiece, while Dominguez chipped in two hits and one RBI in the loss. Junior
Joe Drago (Albany, Ind./Delta) also finished the contest with a pair of hits.
The Vulcans scored 12-unanswered runs to start the game in their 16-7 game two win over the Tigers.
Salem International broke through in the fourth inning on a Lollio RBI single, but four more Cal U runners scored in the fifth to push the lead to 16-1.
The Tigers began to cut into the Vulcan lead in the fifth, when Bariso hit a seeing-eye single through the left side of the infield to score Alderman and make the score 16-2. Bariso continued to help the Salem International cause in the seventh with a two-RBI double. With the bases loaded and nobody out, Dominguez added an RBI single to make the score 16-5, but a double play that scored a run limited the Tiger threat. Badve added the final marker with a RBI single that looped over the first baseman to make the score 16-7.
Junior
James Adydan (Pulaski, N.Y./Pulaski) took the loss in game two to fall to 0-1 this season. He allowed six runs on four hits with one strikeout over 3.0 innings on the bump.
Bariso led Salem International at the dish in game two. The Florida native finished the game with three hits, three RBI and two runs scored. Lollio and Dalton each tallied a pair of hits, with Lollio adding an RBI to his final line.
The Tigers return to Great Midwest Athletic Conference play this Thursday, April 16 when they host Davis & Elkins for a pivotal four-game series. The first-pitch on Thursday is set for 2 p.m.
