BUCKHANNON, W.Va. (Sept. 19) – The Tigers were defeated by West Virginia Wesleyan 3-0 Saturday afternoon in a non-conference matchup.

The Salem International University volleyball team falls to 4-8 overall this season, while the Bobcats improve to 5-5 overall.

Sophomore Rachel Hess (Stuttgart, Germany/Patch) led the team with 10 kills, while classmate Felice Reed (Pilot Point, Texas/Pilot Point) tallied a team-high nine assists. Reed and sophomore Serena Estrada (Decatur, Texas/Decatur) each had eight digs to lead the defense.

The Tigers return home on Tuesday, Sept. 22 when they face West Liberty in a non-conference matchup at 6 p.m.
