The Salem International University women's basketball team will wrap-up the 2016 portion of their schedule on Friday afternoon (Dec. 30) with a trip to Elizabeth City State University. Tip-off at the R. L. Vaughan Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina is set for 2 p.m.

The Tigers enter play with a 1-13 record after dropping a 73-63 decision at Seton Hill. Elizabeth City holds a 4-6 overall record and is coming off of a 47-29 loss to Fayetteville State University.
Sophomore guard
Jiahna Flood-Francis continues to lead the Tigers in numerous offensive categories. She has started all 14 games this season for SIU, averaging 12.6 points per game, 3.1 rebounds per game, 1.6 assists per game, and 1.5 steals per game. She has connected on 40.9 percent of her shots from the floor and 40.8 percent of her shots from downtown.
Sophomore guard
Keishla Gilmore has put-up almost identical numbers this season for SIU, averaging 10.2 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game, and 3.0 assists per game.
The Vikings are guided by Jalyn Brown, who is averaging 11.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game this season. Forward Jazmine Nixon leads ECSU with 7.2 rebounds per contest. As a team, Elizabeth City State is shooting .341 from the floor, .190 from downtown, and .580 from the charity stripe so far this season.
