SALEM, WV - With just two games left in the 2016-17 season for the Salem International University women's basketball team, the Tigers head to Cedarville, Ohio on Thursday night (Feb. 23) for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off against the Cedarville University Yellow Jackets. SIU then heads to Bluefield State for its final match on Sunday night (Feb. 26) beginning at 6 p.m.
This will be the only meeting this season between the former conference rivals. The Yellow Jackets have won each of the last four meetings between the two teams, with Cedarville sweeping a home-and-home series from the Tigers last year.

Sophomore
Jiahna Flood-Francis leads the Tigers in scoring this season, averaging 13.2 points per game. She has also tallied a team-high 54 steals and 32 made three pointers. Fellow sophomore
Keishla Gilmore is averaging 11.1 points per game and a team-high 73 assists.
Regina Hochstetler's 14.5 points per game are a team-best for Cedarville this season. She also leads the team with 89 assists and is a 90.9 percent shooter at the free-throw line. Baylee Bennett has hit a team-best 80 three's this season to go along with averaging 13.3 points per game and 82 assists. Breanne Watterworth has been a big presence in the paint this season for Cedarville, recording 32 blocks and averaging 7.2 rebounds per game to go along with her 11.2 points per game.
