RALEIGH, N.C. –The Salem University men's soccer team was edged by Shaw 3-2, Monday afternoon.
Following the loss, Salem drops to 8-7-2 on the year.
Salem and Shaw tied with 15 shots each, while Shaw recorded seven saves to Salem's three.
Shaw notched a tally on the scoreboard first, as Moritz Lotzen scored at 10:07 to take a 1-0 lead over the Tigers.

Sjoerd Schobbers with 28 minutes remaining in the half as he found sophomore
Mark Ferenczi-Bako for the easy tap-in past the Bears keeper to tie the match at 1-1.

Till Trippner had an impressive shot that hit off the crossbar that nearly bounced into the goal.
Shaw added another goal just before the half at 23:32 to take a 2-1 lead into intermission.
At 54:58 Ferenczi-Bako found Schobbers as Schobbers hit a laser from the right side past the keeper to knot the score at 2-2.
Shaw had a penalty kick at 56:22 but sophomore goalkeeper
Wiktor Stawski made two impressive saves as he saved the penalty kick and the rebound attempt.
Shaws game-winning goal came at 82:41 as Thilo Milke hit a header past Stawski to take a 3-2 lead and win.
The Tigers are back in action as they host Oakland City in Cincinnati, Ohio Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
