SALEM, W.Va. – Salem University women's soccer sophomore forward
Thuto Ramafifi was tabbed with Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Women's Soccer All-Atlantic Region First Team, while junior midfielder
Tamara Queiroz was awarded a spot on the second team, Wednesday.
The duo guided Salem to the best regular season win percentage in school history at .794, while it posts the second most wins in school history with 13.
Ramafifi, a Gaborone, Botswana native, had a remarkable year as she led Division-II in goals per game (1.53) and points per game (3.71), while she ranked second in total goals (26) and total points (63).
This season, Ramafifi notched nine total multi-goal matches, with a stretch of at least two goals in eight of nine contests, while she also registered five hat-tricks.
Queiroz, a Belo Horizonte, Brazil native, posted an outstanding season as she ranked sixth in the nation in goals per game (1.20) and points per game (2.93). Queiroz garnered 18 goals this season, to go along with three hat-tricks.
The Tigers are back in action this weekend as they will compete in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division-II Championships, more details to follow at a later date.
