GLENVILLE, W.Va.- The Salem University volleyball team fell short to Kentucky Christian (3-2) and Glenville (3-0), Tuesday evening.
The Tigers finish the season 9-31.

Game One
The Tigers fell to the Knights 3-2 (19-25, 25-17, 19-25, 25-22, 12-15) in a back-and-forth match.
Salem led KCU in blocks (12-3), while the Knights led in all other statistical categories including kills (58-52), aces (13-8), and digs (65-64).
The Knights were led by Kiahna Holmen who had an impressive 27 kills and Darby Flickinger with a match high of 51 assists.
The Tigers were led by freshman
Jalavia Johnson who notched 15 kills and three blocks.
Junior
Liane Moser contributed with 12 kills, while senior
Kathryne Mathis added nine kills, three blocks and 15 digs.
Salem started the second set with a five point run to keep the lead the whole set. Set point was appointed to Johnson after an assist from sophomore
Alaina Weltz.
The fourth set, KCU had the lead the whole set until the Tigers rose to the top from a 22-17 disadvantage. Holding the Knights at 22 points, the Tigers scored eight points to take the set win 25-22.
The last set was led by the Tigers most of the way until KCU got on top 11-10 to finish the set off 15-12 for the match win 3-2.

Game Two
Host team Glenville, overpowered the Tigers in three sets (25-20, 25-23, 25-22).
Salem again led in blocks (6-3), but fell in all other statistical categories including kills (45-49), aces (6-5) and digs (53-46).
Glenville's Jazaray Clark-Casto led the Pioneers with 18 kills and three blocks.
Moser led this match with eleven kills and two blocks for the Tigers.
Senior
Cassidy Pluta had two aces and 14 assists to add to the team, while classmate Mathis contributed with six kills and 18 digs from the backrow.
