Paula Guba lifted the Salem University women's soccer team 3-1 over Concord, Saturday.
With the win, the Tigers improve to 3-1, while the Mountain Lions fall to 3-1-1.
For the match, Concord generated 21 shots as Salem only produced seven. Salem posted four shots on goal, scoring on three of the on-goal shots.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Valentina Bonaiuto finished the match with nine saves and one goal allowed in 90:00 minutes.
Salem's first opportunity for a goal, came at 2:41 as Guba's shot hit off the crossbar.
The first goal of the afternoon happened in the 36th minute as senior
Jasmine Seaton found the back of the net off an assist from freshman
Jocelyn Orellana for a 1-0 lead over the Mountain Lions.
Salem went into halftime with a 1-0 advantage.
At 58:10 Myers chipped in a goal off an assist from freshman Sophia Wortman who crossed the pass on a free kick.
Just four minutes later, Guba added the Tigers third goal on the day off an assist from senior
Kelsea Freiling to take a 3-0 advantage over Concord.
At 80:41 Concord's Kaitlyn Kerrigan scored the Mountain Lions lone goal of the game.
The Tigers are back in action Tuesday as they host Ohio Valley, kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. at Catalano Stadium.
