SALEM, W.Va. –The Salem University men's water polo squad dropped a game to McKendree 15-14, while they defeated Monmouth 27-9, Saturday.
With the split, Salem moves to 3-8 on the season.
Game One
In the first game of the day, Salem fell to McKendree 15-14.
Junior
Salvador Orozco led the team with five goals, while sophomore
Petar Leontijevic tossed-in three goals.

Milos Popovic added three goals, while freshman
Austin Kephart, senior
Inigo Velasco, sophomore
Michael Rojas and junior
Robert Juhas scored one goal each.
The Tigers led the contest 6-1 in the first but could not finish the game as they fell.
Game Two
In the second game of the day, the Tigers dominated Monmouth 27-9.
The Tigers were led by Popovic who scored an impressive game-high 11 goals, just one goal off of the single-game goal record at Salem.
Rojas netted three goals, while Velasco, Leontijevic, Juhas and Kephart each added two goals.

Mike Diaz each found the goal one time each.
The Tigers are back in action tomorrow as they host Washington and Jefferson at 12:10 p.m. for senior day.
