SALEM, W.Va.- The Salem University women's and men's basketball games scheduled for this evening at 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. have been postponed due to inclement weather.

With freezing temperatures and snow, the doubleheader scheduled this evening against Davis and Elkins has been postponed to a date yet to be determined.

The women's basketball team currently sits at 4-15, coming off their largest margin of victory this season as they downed Bluefield State 87-57 last Saturday. Â

This season, freshman
Nia Bishop leads the offense averaging 14.9 points in 11 games, while junior
Precious Price averages 13 points in 17 games played.

On the men's side, the Tigers are 13-7 on the year. Their 13 wins are more wins than the past three seasons combined (12).

Senior
Malik Toppin leads the way for Salem, as he is averaging a double-double with 17.8 points and 10.4 rebounds, while freshman
Fonz Hale has come on strong recently, in the past two games he has notched 25 and 28 points in the wins over Kentucky State and Bluefield State.

The women's team heads to Edinboro Saturday for a matchup set at 1:00 p.m., while the men's team travels to Lock Haven with tip-off set at 3:00 p.m. Saturday.
