Women's Basketball Travels To Alderson Broaddus Today

The Salem University women's basketball team is back on the court this evening as the Tigers travel to Philippi, W.Va., to take on Alderson Broaddus University. Tip-off is 5:15 p.m.

Salem (2-6) is coming off a come-from-behind 92-86 victory over Virginia State University Saturday at T. Edward Davis Gymnasium. After trailing by as many as 12 points in the first half, the Tigers used a 25-8 run to build a double-digit lead of its own in the fourth quarter.
 
Nia Bishop, who ranks 33rd in the nation with 18.9 points per game, led four Tigers in double figures with 22 points in the win. Alicia Smith added 17 points for Salem.
 
Alderson Broaddus (2-5) fell to University of Findlay 58-44 Saturday.
 
Salem and Alderson Broaddus last faced each other during the 2017-18 season. The Tigers are seeking their first victory over the Battlers in the series since January 14, 2012.
 
After tonight's contest, Salem plays its next two games at home. The Tigers play host to Seton Hill University Saturday, then entertain Concord University next Wednesday.
