Box Score PHILIPPI, W.VA. – A pair of goals in a span of less three minutes apart in the first half broke a scoreless tie as Salem University fell to Alderson Broaddus University 5-0 in NCAA Division II women's soccer Wednesday at Philippi, W.Va.
Chelsea Cordice finished with 14 saves for the Tigers, who played their third consecutive road contest.

Salem (0-6) had its best scoring chances after the 62nd minute on a pair of challenges by
Tamara Queiroz. Alderson Broaddus goalkeeper Alexis McKeown was able to make saves on both attempts to keep the Tigers out of the goal.

Alderson Broaddus (2-0) broke the deadlock with goals at 16:00 and 18:31. The Battlers added a goal at the 34:43 mark to take a 3-0 halftime lead. Alderson Broaddus scored again at 62:00 and converted a penalty kick at 85:26 to close out the scoring.

Salem is off until next Wednesday when the Tigers travel to Lincoln University of Pennsylvania. Match time is 5 p.m. Salem was originally scheduled to host Saginaw Valley State University this Saturday, but the match was canceled.
