The Salem University women's basketball team wraps up its Thanksgiving Weekend road trip this afternoon as the Tigers visit Norfolk, Va., to take on Division I Norfolk State University. Tip-off is 4 p.m.

Salem (0-2) is coming off a 111-54 loss Wednesday at University of Delaware, the Tigers' first regular season game against a Division I opponent in more than 20 years. The Tigers were within 27-21 midway through the second quarter before a Delaware scoring run broke the game open.

Faith Williams led the Tigers with 13 points, while
Inari Jones went 6-for-6 from the free throw line and added 10 points. Through two games, five different Tigers have scored in double figures. In Salem's opener against Georgetown College (Ky.),
Alicia Smith scored 21 points, while
Daniela Quesada added 16 points and
Nerea Arambarri Fernandez finished with 15 points.

Norfolk State (0-1) opened its season Wednesday with a 67-47 loss at UNC Wilmington. Wednesday was the first day Division I women's and men's basketball teams were permitted to begin regular-season play.
