SALEM, West Virginia - The Salem volleyball team finished their season with a match up against Fairmont State today. Two seniors were honoured today in their last ever home match, #11
Anna Veryser and #12
Makhia Hinton. Each of the seniors brought such great leadership and energetic presence to the court.
Anna Veryser, outside hitter from Ohio, will be graduating with a bachelor's degree in biology – human nutrition and performance. Throughout her career she has had a great impact within her team tallying a career total of 117 kills and 74 digs.
Makhia Hinton, also an outside hitter from Ohio, will graduate with a bachelor's degree in business – sports management. Hinton has played a huge role on the court in her time at Salem racking up 276 total digs and247 kills.

In their game against Fairmont today the tigers put up a valiant effort however it was not enough to take the win. Salem played a close game with the falcons at the beginning of their sets however were not able to take the lead. Each of the three sets went to the falcons, the first set score being 17-25, the second 17-25 as well and the third 14-25. Although the tigers were hoping for a win, they finished out their season with some strong performances.

Senior
Makhia Hinton stole the show tallying 11 kills, 8 digs and adding 1 block. Veryser also had 4 kills to add. Gabriela Chaparro Coss added 10 assists and Trinity Eliasen put up 2. Brianna Sotelo had 9 digs and 5 assists and Olivia Dupras added 11 digs. This was a great effort from the tigers today and throughout their season, they will be taking a break from games and entering their off-season now, they will however be back next year for more action.
