Salem, WV - Salem University baseball fell to California University of Pennsylvania 8-4 on Tuesday.
California University of Pennsylvania jumped out an early lead, scoring four in the first. The Tigers cut the lead to two after scoring two in the fifth. Conor Bardue doubled to right center and later advanced to third on the wild pitch. Trey Hissam singled to left field to bring in the first run. Brett Ehr followed with a double to bring in Hissam to make the score 4-2. Cal U answered with two of their own in the bottom of the inning. Tyler Shinn led off the eighth for the Tigers with a double to right field followed by a double from Easy Goita down the right field line to bring Shinn home. Scott Kondroik singled through the left side to bring home the Tigers final run of the game. Cal U added another in the bottom of the eighth to come away with the 8-4 victory over the Tigers.
