Nutter Fort, WV - Salem University Baseball took down Alderson Broaddus in a midweek game 10-4.
Frankie Clearly earned the win on the mound for the Tigers, throwing seven inning, giving up eight hits and striking out eight.
Tommy Downey threw the final inning, giving up one hit and striking out two.
The Battlers opened up the game, putting two on the board. The Tigers answered in the second to take the 3-2 lead.

Conor Bardue drew back-to-back walks followed by a single from
Trey Hissam to bring in one for the Tigers. After a passed ball bringing in one and putting a runner on third,
Kobie Carpenter singled on a bunt to bring in the third run for the Tigers.
The Tigers pulled away in the fifth, putting 6 runs on the board. Carpenter stole home to bring in the first run of the inning. The next three runs for the Tigers, came from Battler miscues. Bardue brought in two for the Tigers after a single up the middle to extend the lead 9-2. The Tigers added their final run in the sixth to take the 10-4 victory over the Battlers.
