GLENVILLE, West Virginia - Salem baseball went on the road today for their first away game against Glenville State University. Only one game was played between the teams and Salem came out victorious over the Pioneers 12-0. The tigers scoring streak started in the 3
rd inning of 9 and never slowed down. In inning three Salem brought home three runs, in the 4
th they scored another 4 runs, another 2 runs were split over the 7
th and 8
th inning and in the 9
th they scored 3.

Jaryd Lund had a great performance pitching 7 straight scoreless innings for the tigers and had 9 total strike outs.
Alden Halfinger and
Keith Wallace each relief pitched an inning and were also scoreless. On the offence in the 3
rd inning
Kaiden Zacharias hit a single which advanced
Nathan Kuhn and brought home
Luis Angarita.
Ben Matos then hit a double which Kuhn and Zacharias both came home on. In the 4
th inning the bases were loaded and Kuhn singled giving him 1 RBI.
Tyler Shinn came up to bat and reached 2
nd base by an error from the pioneers 3
rd baseman, this gave Shinn 2 RBI's. At the end of the 4
th Matos singled brining home Shinn. In the 7
th inning
Jacob Hurley launched a home run and was the only one to score that inning. In the 8
th Kevin Thompson recorded an RBI with a single up the middle which brought home Angarita. In the last inning Brett Her and
Jacob Hurley were on base and
Aaron Forbes homered up the centre giving himself 3 RBI's.

This was a great effort from the tigers today and put them in good standing for their next 3 game series against Wheeling University that starts Friday March 10
th.
