GLENVILLE, West Virginia - Salem baseball went on the road today for their first away game against Glenville State University. In inning three Salem brought home three runs, in the 4th they scored another 4 runs, another 2 runs were split over the 7th and 8th inning and in the 9th they scored 3.

Jaryd Lund had a great performance pitching 7 straight scoreless innings for the tigers and had 9 total strike outs. Alden Halfinger and Keith Wallace each relief pitched an inning and were also scoreless. On the offence in the 3rd inning Kaiden Zacharias hit a single which advanced Nathan Kuhn and brought home Luis Angarita. Ben Matos then hit a double which Kuhn and Zacharias both came home on. In the 4th inning the bases were loaded and Kuhn singled giving him 1 RBI. Tyler Shinn came up to bat and reached 2nd base by an error from the pioneers 3rd baseman, this gave Shinn 2 RBI's. At the end of the 4th Matos singled brining home Shinn. In the 7th inning Jacob Hurley launched a home run and was the only one to score that inning. In the 8th Kevin Thompson recorded an RBI with a single up the middle which brought home Angarita. In the last inning Brett Her and Jacob Hurley were on base and Aaron Forbes homered up the centre giving himself 3 RBI's.
