BALTIMORE, Md. — The Salem University Tigers men's water polo team battled hard on Sunday afternoon but fell in a tight 16-15 matchup on the road at Johns Hopkins.
Salem fought through each period and kept the contest within reach until the final overtime minutes. The Tigers paced themselves with a strong third quarter and a resilient effort in OT. Key moments included goals from standout players like Danko Kesic and Marko Zivojinovic during regulation.
Johns Hopkins ultimately secured the win in sudden-death overtime, but Salem's narrow margin shows the Tigers were competitive throughout. Danko Kesic led the way for the Tigers offensively with 5 goals and 3 assists in the loss.
While this concludes the regular season slate for the Tigers, Salem opens WWPA Tournament play on Friday, November 21st.
