PITTSBURGH, Pa. — The Salem University women's soccer team closed its 2025 season on Wednesday evening, falling 11–0 to Point Park at Highmark Stadium.
The Pioneers (8-6-4) scored five times in the opening half and added six more after the break, but the Tigers continued to compete until the final whistle behind a resilient defensive effort.
Goalkeeper Chloe Owens anchored the back line once again, finishing with eight saves while facing 34 total shots. Offensively, Niah Hidalgo paced Salem with three shots, including two on goal, while Iva Ristic added another attempt early in the match.
The Tigers (1-17-0) also saw extended minutes from Britney Riley, Nevaeh Guzman, and Heidi Faske, who all played the full 90 minutes, helping to steady the team's defensive organization against an experienced Point Park lineup.
The match marked the end of Salem's 2025 campaign, as the Tigers look ahead to the offseason and the continued growth of the program under its young core.
