SALEM, W.Va. — Salem men's basketball turned in one of its most efficient offensive performances of the season on Monday night, defeating Penn State–Fayette 83–69 inside T. Edward Davis Gymnasium. With the win, the Tigers improve to 4–3 on the year and move to 3–0 at home.
Salem shot a sharp 53.4% from the field and 38.5% from three, using a balanced scoring attack and a dominant second half to take control of the game. The Tigers outscored the Roaring Lions 44–37 after halftime and never trailed in the final 20 minutes.
Gamble Erupts for 30 Points
Senior guard Jamari Gamble delivered a standout performance, pouring in 30 points on an ultra-efficient 10-for-13 shooting, including 6-of-8 from beyond the arc. He added six rebounds, three assists, and two steals while posting a team-best +16 plus/minus.

Defensively, the Tigers forced 23 turnovers, turning many of them into high-efficiency transition opportunities that allowed them to create separation midway through the second half.
Key Runs Seal the Win
A 10–2 Salem burst early in the second half pushed the lead into double digits, and Gamble's hot shooting ensured the Tigers stayed comfortably in front. Salem's largest lead—16 points—came with just over three minutes to play.
