Rough Night Offensively As Salem Falls to Charleston

SALEM, WV – The Salem University Tigers (7-15) displayed moments of grit and persistence during their Wednesday night contest against the University of Charleston. Despite a difficult outcome, individual Tigers stepped up to contribute key plays throughout the game.

Salem Individual Highlights

  • Jamari Gamble led the Tigers' scoring effort with a team-high 18 points. Gamble was effective from both the perimeter, knocking down two three-pointers, and the charity stripe, where he shot 85.7% (6-of-7).

  • Eman Lawal provided a steady presence in the frontcourt, finishing with 11 points and three rebounds. Lawal was active in drawing fouls, leading the team with nine free-throw attempts.

  • Ryan Hurst made the most of his minutes, scoring 7 points on efficient 3-of-4 shooting from the field in just 10 minutes of play.

  • Xavier Price anchored the rebounding effort for Salem, pulling down a team-best 7 rebounds, 6 of which came on the offensive end to provide extra possessions for the Tigers.
