SALEM, W.Va. – Head Coach Matt Carpenter and the Salem University volleyball program have announced the Tigers' schedule for the upcoming 2026 season, a full match slate that features 11 home contests, four multi-match events, and a challenging mix of regional NCAA Division II, NAIA, and USCAA competition.
The Tigers open the campaign on August 28-29 at the USCAA Volleyball Tip-Off in Monaca, Pennsylvania, where Salem will face Penn State Shenango and two other opponents to be determined by tournament play. The opening weekend provides an early opportunity for the Tigers to measure themselves against familiar USCAA competition before beginning the home portion of the schedule.
Salem makes its home debut on Tuesday, September 1, welcoming Glenville State to the T. Edward Davis Gymnasium before continuing a busy non-conference stretch that includes home matches against Kentucky Christian, Point Park, West Virginia University Institute of Technology, Appalachian Bible, Penn State Beaver, Davis & Elkins, Ursuline, and Wilberforce.
The Tigers will also host the annual Salem Tri-Match on September 19, squaring off with Livingstone and Shawnee State in front of the home crowd.
Away from Salem, the Tigers will compete in tri-match events hosted by Franciscan University on September 12 and Boyce College on September 26 while making road trips throughout West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania. The schedule includes visits to Ursuline, Davis & Elkins, Edinboro, Lake Erie, Fairmont State, West Virginia Wesleyan, Glenville State, Kentucky Christian, Appalachian Bible, and WVU Tech.
The 2026 slate also features home-and-home series with Glenville State, Davis & Elkins, Kentucky Christian, Appalachian Bible, Ursuline, and WVU Tech, giving Salem multiple opportunities to test itself against familiar regional opponents throughout the fall.
