How It Happened
- Set 1: Davis & Elkins built an early lead behind consistent net play. Despite late kills from Hailey Haynes and Beyerle to trim the deficit, the Senators held off the Tigers' late push to take the opening frame, 25-22.
- Set 2: Salem answered decisively in the second set. Fueled by a dominant 11-point run with Ana Julia Avila Vian on the serve, the Tigers took total control, cruising to a 25-11 win to level the match.
- Set 3: The third frame remained competitive early before Salem gained separation midway through. Timely strikes from Sofia Ghadesi Morales and Noemi Combi kept the momentum with the Tigers, allowing Salem to seal the set 25-20.
- Set 4: The final set saw back-and-forth action down the stretch. Trailing 21-20 late in the set, Salem executed when it mattered most, launching a match-ending 5-1 run—capped by a Vigneron kill and a Senator setting error—to secure the 25-22 set victory and the match.
