BRIDGEPORT, WV - Salem University women's soccer picked up a big 4-0 win over Ohio Christian University on Saturday at the Bridge Sports Complex.
Salem came out strong right away, with Alanyss Cabrera scoring in the 9th minute to give the Tigers an early lead. Emily Sullivan added another goal in the 39th minute, with Chloe Shelley getting the assist. Salem went into halftime up 2-0.
The Tigers kept things going in the second half. Cabrera scored again in the 62nd minute for her second goal of the game. Just two minutes later, Armani Fulton found the back of the net to put Salem up 4-0.
Salem continued to control the game through the final whistle and kept Ohio Christian off the scoreboard.Â
The Tigers finished with 19 shots, 10 on goal and four corner kicks, while Ohio Christian recorded just two shots.
Overall, it was a strong performance from Salem on both sides of the field as the Tigers finished with the 4-0 shutout.
