Addison Rouse is in his fourth season as Salem University's head baseball coach. He has led the Tigers to a combined 45 wins over the past two seasons after taking over a program that won fewer than 10 games prior to Rouse becoming head coach.
The Tigers posted a 26-27 mark in 2019, tying for the school single-season win total and the most wins since 1999. Salem was among the NCAA Division II national top 25 in numerous offensive team categories: home runs (17th), runs (14th), stolen bases (3rd), on-base percentage (11th), walks (8th) and hit by pitch (9th). Salem's 64 home runs and 155 stolen bases.
Five Tigers earned All-East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) honors and Harrison Hollis was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Region Second Team.
The team also excelled in the classroom, earning an ABCA Academic Excellence Award with a 3.34 team grade point average.

In 2018, Rouse led the Tigers their best winning percentage in program history (NCAA II era) at .542 with a record of 19-16-1. Rouse was named the Independent College Athletic Association (ICAA) Coach of the Year and three Tigers earned All-ICAA honors. Salem also had two All-ECAC selections and the ECAC Rookie of the Year.

Rouse joined Salem after a three-year stint as the head coach at Eastern Nazarene College. Along with All-Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) selections, his team also had the 2016 CCC Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Prior to Eastern Nazarene, Rouse served as the top assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Brescia University. He spent two seasons with the Bearcats, managing all of the program's recruiting efforts and offense and base-running philosophies and instructions, as well as implementing outfield drills and instruction.

Rouse also spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Henderson State University. He assisted with all aspects of recruiting as well as organizing fundraisers, the Booster Club and golf tournament. On the diamond, Rouse implemented outfield drills, while also working with the team's batters.

From 2009-11, he spent three summers working with the American Legion program in Medicine Hat, Alberta, and served as the team's hitting and pitching coach.

Rouse graduated from Brescia University with a bachelor of arts degree in English. As a student-athlete, he helped the Bearcats claim a KIAC championship and reach the NAIA National Tournament in back-to-back seasons. He was also selected to the KIAC All-Academic Team.
Prior to Brescia, he also attended Ohio Valley University, where he helped the Fighting Scots capture a West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) title and an NCAA Regional Tournament berth. That year's baseball team was the first team to be inducted into the OVU Hall of Fame.

Rouse earned his master's degree in sports administration from Henderson State University.
Rouse and the Tiger baseball team participate in numerous community service projects in North Central West Virginia, including helping set up for the Fairmont (W.Va.) Trinity Assembly of God Annual Fall Harvest Festival and volunteering at the North Central, W.Va. Alzheimers Walk in the early part of the 2019-20 academic year.
Along with the Salem University Tigers, his favorite sports teams include the Cincinnati Reds,Cincinnati Bengals, Kentucky Wildcats and West Virginia Mountaineers.
Rouse and his wife Alisha have two sons and a newborn daughter. Davy is 11 years old, Drew is eight and Shae was born in July 2019. The family belongs to the Trinity Assembly of God Church.
