Dominic Shannon is in his first year as a graduate assistant on the Salem University men's basketball coaching staff.
Shannon has spent the previous three years coaching boys' basketball at the high school level. He spent two years as head coach at Saranac High School in Saranac, Mich., and one year as assistant coach at Forest Hills Central High School in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Shannon is also Director of Basketball Development for All-In Sports, a sports training company in Grand Rapids, Mich. The sports training program is designed to build a foundation with youth to encourage success between and outside the lines of sports.
Shannon earned his bachelor's degree in marketing from Saginaw Valley State University. He is working towards his master's in education at Salem. His career plans are to coach basketball at the collegiate or high school level.
