Vince Thibodeau took over as Heda Men's Basketball Coach at Salem in 2023-2024. Since taking over the Tigers program, Thibodeau has continued building upon the success of one of Salem’s premier athletic programs.
Thibodeau returned to Salem after serving as an assistant coach at NCAA Division I James Madison University during the 2022-23 season. He was previously an assistant coach for the Tigers under former head coach Brett Rector during Salem’s 20-win 2021-22 campaign before Rector departed for the head coaching position at Coker University.
Prior to his time at Salem and James Madison, Thibodeau gained coaching experience at multiple levels of collegiate basketball, including stops at NJCAA programs, NCAA Division I institutions such as Western Michigan and Virginia Military Institute, and at the NAIA level with the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
