Salem University Athletics

Brent Walters took over as Head Athletic Trainer at Salem University in 2017. During his time as a Tiger, he led the universities' response to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021 on top of his duties as Head Athletic Trainer. He came to Salem after a stint working for The Spring League, a professional football development league for NFL free agents.
 
Prior to The Spring League, Walters spent nearly a decade working with Glenville State, where he served as head athletic trainer, insurance coordinator, and director of football operations from 2007-2016. Before coming to the Mountain State, Walters worked as a Head Men's Athletic Trainer for Louisiana Tech University, where he worked predominantly with the football program and oversaw the student assistant trainer program. Over his nearly 2 decades behind the training table, Walters has worked the 1999 NCAA Women's Basketball Final Four, three Division II Women's Basketball Regional Tournaments and two NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Regional Tournaments.
