Dan Meyers was named Salem University Director of Cross Country and Track and Field in August 2019. He also serves as Director of Game Day Management.

During Meyers' first year at Salem, Tiger student-athletes set several individual school records. School records were set in the men's cross country 8k, as well as in a number of men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field events.

Prior to his arrival at Salem, Meyers served as head cross country and track and field coach at his alma mater, West Virginia Wesleyan College. He guided the Bobcats to a fourth-place finish at the 2018 Mountain East Conference Men's Cross Country Championship. Under Meyers, the 2019 WVWC men's track and field team improved on its previous conference finish and saw an increase in the number of all-conference performers.

On the women's side, Meyers coached an All-Mountain East Conference Cross Country First Team selection. He also coached a qualifier in the 2019 NCAA Division II Women's Track and Field National Championship.

Meyers had previously spent a year as a student assistant and a year as an assistant coach at WVWC. During those two years, the Bobcats won seven out of eight combined Mountain East Conference Championships: one in men's cross country and two each in women's cross country, men's track and field and women's track and field.

In between his stints at West Virginia Wesleyan, Meyers spent two years as an assistant coach at Davis and Elkins College, where he helped launch the school's track and field program. Primary duties included recruiting, practice planning, workout preparation and managing the lifting program.

Meyers earned a bachelor's degree in marketing with a minor in communications. He also earned an MBA with a concentration in sports management from American Public University.
