Salem University Athletics

Cole Houser took over as the first head coach in Salem Men's Wrestling history as he has guided it since in's launch in 2024. Houser has focused on building Salem wrestling from the ground up while establishing a strong foundation for future success.

Houser came to Salem following a season as an assistant coach at King University in Tennessee. Prior to his coaching career, he competed collegiately at Glenville State University, where he was a team captain, regional contender, and multiple-time Academic All-American for the Pioneers. Before transferring to Glenville State, Houser attended and competed for Urbana University in his home state of Ohio.

In addition to his collegiate experience, Houser has coached at the youth, club, and high school levels, bringing extensive knowledge of the wrestling landscape throughout West Virginia, Ohio, and the surrounding region.
