DJ Marlow

DJ Marlow enters his first season as Salem University Assistant Women's Basketball Coach For the 2022-2023 Season. 

Prior to Salem, Marlow was an assistant coach at Warner University and Head Women's JV Coach (2021-2022). As the assistant, Marlow recruited and developed two freshman. Chanelle McDonald, and Jasmine Edwards. Both players earned 1st team All - Conference and Chanelle also earned Freshman of the year. While being the Head JV Women's coach Marlow led the team to its first winning season and first championship in school history. 

Prior to Warner University, Marlow spent two years as Head Girls Basketball coach at Tenoroc High School (2019-2021). During his two years at Tenoroc the girls team was the most improved team in the District. Marlow also lead them to their first winning season in 10 years and was named 4A FACA Coach of the year. 

Marlow has extensive experience developing players through serving as lead instructor and coach for Agape Hoops in Missouri, as well as coaching several AAU teams over the years. Marlow also developed professional and NCAA D1/NCAA D2 players in the summer. 

Marlow began his collegiate playing career at NJCAA DI Little Big Horn College in Montana where he averaged 18.5 points per game, as well as 4.5 assists and 3.0 steals. He was named Region 9 First team all conference and led the Region in points, steals, and was second in the nation in steals. 

He also played and started at Misericordia University, where he had game highs of 26 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 steals.  Later, Marlow was a walk-on at Delaware State University.   

In high school, he played basketball at Kathleen and Lakeland High School where he averaged 11 points, and was the team’s leading rebounder.  He was chosen to be on the Polk County All-Star team as well. Marlow is from Lakeland, Florida.
