SALEM, W.Va. - The Salem International University men's basketball team dropped a heart-breaking 90-86 decision to Ohio Valley University on Saturday afternoon at the T. Edward Davis Gymnasium.
The loss drops Salem to 2-12 (0-5 G-MAC). Ohio Valley now sits at 3-9 (3-2 G-MAC).
Matt Thomas had a season-high 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting (4-for-6 from three).
Alex Webb scored 13 of his 19 points in the second half.
Gerard Tarin had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while
Abel Tillman had 10.
OVU was led by Darryl Walker's game-high 23 points. Markese Allen had 18, Robert Smelser had 15, and David Sinickas scored 12 points to lead the charge for the Fighting Scots.
The Tigers are scheduled to take on Central State University on Thursday, January 22nd. Game-time is tentatively set for 7:30 PM.
