PHILIPPI, W.Va. - The Salem International University men's basketball team lost 82-75 against Alderson Broaddus on January 29th at the Rex Pyles Arena on the campus of Alderson Broaddus University.
The loss gives Salem a 2-15 record on the season with a 0-8 mark in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC). AB improves to 13-6 and 6-2 in conference play.
Tyler Bell had 14 points and
Abel Tillman had 10 in the effort.
Salem shot 42.2% (27-64_ from the floor, but only 15.8% (3-19) from three point range. The Battlers, however, shot 45.8% (27-59) and connected on 8-of-17 (47.1%) from long range. AB shot 23-of-31 from the foul line, while Salem was 15-of-22 from the charity stripe. Salem held a 44-38 advantage in points in the paint.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday when they travel to Davis & Elkins.
