URBANA, Ohio (Nov. 18) – The Tigers were handed a 87-70 loss by Urbana in non-conference action Wednesday night.
The Salem International University men's basketball team falls to 1-1 overall, while the Blue Knights improve to 1-2 this season.

Victor Blakey (Suitland, Md./Friendly) led the Tigers with a game-high 25 points on 9-of-11 from the field, including a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc. Junior
Lamonte Fields (Dinwiddie, Va./Dinwiddie) narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds in the loss.
Salem International shot 49 percent from the field (27 of 55), compared to Urbana who shot 57 percent (28 of 49). The Blue Knights sank 28 of 38 free throw attempts, while the Tigers finished the night 11 of 20 from the charity stripe.
The Tigers held edges in points in the paint (34-28) and second chance points (17-6), but the Blue Knights held a 23-12 advantage in points off turnovers, including 20 in the second half alone. Salem International never held the lead at any point in the game.
The Tigers continue non-conference play with a visit to Wilmore, Kentucky on Monday, Nov. 23 to take on Asbury at 7 p.m.
