SALEM, W.Va. (Dec. 3) - Despite a lead after the first quarter, the Tigers were handed a 91-59 loss by Fayetteville State in non-conference action Thursday night at the T.Edward Davis Gymnasium.
The loss drops the Salem International University women's basketball team to 0-7 overall, while the Broncos improve to 5-3 this season.

Samantha Aiken (Hilton Head Island, S.C./Hilton Head led the Tigers with 20 points, three boards and a team-high four assists, while redshirt-freshman
Keishla Gilmore (Philadelphia, Pa./Mariana Bracetti) chipped in 11 points in the loss.
Aiken helped the Tigers take the lead three minutes into the game by scoring eight points, including a pair of three pointers, to give Salem an 8-4 edge with 7:29 left in the opening period. Neither team created much separation, as the Tigers took a 20-19 lead into the second quarter.
Salem International held a 37-35 lead with three minutes left in the second quarter, but the Broncos closed the half on an 8-1 run to take a 43-38 lead into the locker rooms.
The Tigers kept pace with Fayetteville State for the first five minutes of the third quarter, but the Broncos took control of the contest over the final 15 minutes of the game. Fayetteville State out-scored Salem International 41-14 over that span to pull away for the win.
The Broncos were led Bria Robinson who finished with game-highs of 26 points and eight rebounds.
The Tigers return to play Saturday, Dec. 5 when they take on NCAA Division I Detroit Mercy in Michigan for an exhibition game at 12 p.m.
