RICHMOND, Va. (Sept. 8) – The Tigers were dealt a 3-0 loss (25-22, 25-19, 25-16) by Virginia Union in non-conference play Tuesday evening.
The loss drops the Salem International University volleyball team to 3-3 overall, while the Panthers improve to 2-3 this season.
Sophomore
Rachel Hess (Stuttgart, Germany/Patch) led the team with seven kills on the night, while junior
Emerald Rosenbusch (Hutto, Texas/Hutto) led the defense with 10 digs.
The Tigers return to action Friday and Saturday, when they head to central Pennsylvania to participate in the Lock Haven Invitational. Salem International will play in two matches on Friday, beginning with a 11:30 a.m. matchup with LIU Post and concluding with a 4:30 p.m. meeting with host Lock Haven.
